e-Collars, Sound & Citronella collars
On the odd occasion we have clients ask about e-collars, sound collars, citronella collars. The context is usually clients wanting to find out if using collars such as these will be a quick-fix to an unwanted behavioural issue or quicken a training process.
At K9 FUNdamentals, we only use force-free training. We do not advocate the use of these collar devices. Our training methods are purely around teaching and showing both dogs and their owners the benefits of positive encouragement in order to learn or modify behaviours.
Do feel free to have chat with us on this if your contemplating one of these devices for your dog. There definitely is a more humane way of training.
